U.S Solider Killed in a Car Accident in Fayetteville, North Carolina | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

A 21 year old solider of the 27th Engineer Battalion at Fort Bragg, North Carolina (NC) died early Saturday after being run over by a car.

According to police reports the car accident in Fayetteville, North Carolina (NC) that claimed the life of the solider was just a sad and tragic accident. He had been involved in a fight in a parking lot of a McDonald’s restaurant off Sycamore Dairy Road in Fayetteville. The fight spread to the streets where he lost his balance, and fell to the road. Unfortunately, a driver happened to be on the roadway at that moment and hit the solider before he could regain his balance and get out of the way of the vehicle.

The driver did not sustain any injuries in the car accident, and the solider was sent to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in North Carolina (NC). Tragically, he died at the Cape Fear Valley Medical Center from the injuries he sustained during the accident. The Fayetteville police will not be pressing charges on the driver.

Car accidents are always tragic, especially when they claim a young soldier’s life. While not all accidents can be avoided, many can.
