A Boone, NC motorcyclist was airlifted to a Tennessee hospital after a dangerous crash. The accident occurred around 2:15 p.m. on U.S. 321, south of Bethel Rad. He motorcyclist was traveling at around 50 piles per hour, and crossed into the path of a Ford passenger vehicle. The vehicles collided head on. The crash sent the rider airborne. He was airlifted and taken to the Johnson City Medical Center. The driver of the car suffered wrist and neck pain, but did not go to the hospital. Charges are pending, state troopers say.
