One Adult Killed, Four Children Injured in North Carolina Head-On Collision | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

Around 6:30 pm on February 5, 2012, a head-on collision on Highway 177 in Rocky Point, North Carolina (NC), took the life of the at-fault pickup driver, badly injured a van’s driver and sent fourchildren to the hospital with critical injuries.

According to WECT, the pickup crossed the center line while rounding a curve then rammed the an despite both drivers’ efforts to swerve and avoid the crash. The children in both vehicles were grandchildren of the drivers.
