Hit-and-Run Driver Causes Fatal Crash in Clemmons, NC | Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp

Police are seeking a man they say caused a deadly hit-and-run accident in Clemmons, North Carolina (NC). The wreck occurred on NC 150 when the careless driver cut in front of another vehicle, causing that driver to swerve into another car. Sadly, when avoiding the first collision, the second driver slammed into the vehicle of 77-year-old Mary Nelson instead.

The man who caused the crash reportedly pulled over to the side of the road and got out of his car, only to reenter his car moments later and drive off. Police are on the lookout for an Asian or Hispanic man with glasses, possibly driving a maroon Kia Optima.

The crash occurred at NC 150 and Central Road in Clemmons, NC.

Now, a woman is dead and another man is seriously injured because of one driver’s bad decision behind the wheel. Even worse than causing the accident was his decision to flee the scene of the accident. A grandmother, mother, wife, sister and daughter is gone forever, and another man is fighting for his life, while the man who caused the situation is currently at large and not being held to account.
