RESULTS: $50,000 Full Policy Coverage, Maximum Recovery
DATE: March 2024
ATTORNEY: Kevin D. Sharp
STAFF: Beth C., Paralegal
WHAT HAPPENED:
Our client, a Spanish-speaking woman who could not speak English, was involved in an accident in Virginia Beach, Va. She was operating her car on General Booth Blvd. when another driver, attempting to make a left turn, pulled in front of her, causing her to sustain injuries to her chest, shoulder, and back. She also developed an elbow hematoma due to the accident.
LEGAL STRATEGY:
Because she did not speak English, she was concerned that the insurance company would not deal with her fairly. After she retained Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp, P.C., we obtained all of her medical records, bills as well as accident information. We provided the same to the insurance company, which maintained a maximum policy coverage of $50,000.00. Our firm made frequent and clear communications with our client. The insurance company agreed to pay the full coverage amount, the maximum possible recovery for the case.
RESULTS:
$50,000 full-policy coverage insurance settlement, maximum recovery.
Spanish-speaking persons involved in an accident who are concerned that the insurance company may try to take advantage of them should make sure that they have an attorney who will protect their interests and communicate with them about their rights. Shapiro, Washburn & Sharp is proud to help in such endeavors.
