“I went in for a partial hysterectomy. It was supposed to be like I go in the hospital for the hysterectomy and get discharged the next day when I guess they found out my kidneys weren’t functioning right. I ended up staying over several days.
When I first got out of my surgery, when I first realized I was messed up, I couldn’t do anything. I couldn’t drive, I couldn’t fix myself, nothing to eat, I couldn’t clean up. My regular normal activities, I couldn’t do anything at all. That’s when I realized that I was injured real bad.
Only one doctor really admitted to doing anything wrong. Everyone was just saying they were so sorry for what happened. Unfortunately, they weren’t willing to pay for anything that had been done at the hospital. I had to get my attorney to do it.
I decided on Jim Lewis. I found him searching the internet and I looked at a video saying that he was personal injury lawyer and I talked to him about the things that happened and then I was told that an investigator would come to the house. He just made me feel comfortable and I told him everything that happened. My experience with Jim, he was a very good attorney. He made me feel comfortable in talking to him about anything.
He took my case on full force. Jim has really helped me out, walked me through the case, put my interests best at heart, as putting it in the trust, you know, making sure I’m taken care of for the long term.
The reason I would recommend Jim is because, like I said, he took on my case full force. He had my best interest at heart. Whenever I called him for anything, he always gave me answers to all the questions I had. He just made me feel comfortable.”

My husband and I came to see Jim Lewis looking for help with our son who was injured during childbirth. Jim agreed to take our medical malpractice case and worked on it for over two years. It took this long because the insurance company refused to pay anything for my child’s permanent nerve damage until…
I definitely recommend JIm Lewis to anyone who suffered a medical malpractice injury. I underwent a total hysterectomy and, during the procedure, the doctor nicked my ureter. After the procedure, I was unable to, use the bathroom, I couldn’t hold down water, I was vomiting and I didn’t know what was going on until I had an MRI. I found out that my kidney wasn’t functioning. …
[Editors note: A Baltimore City Circuit Court jury returned a unanimous verdict for our client in February 2016 for the exact sum we requested during her 5-day trial.] It has been one week since the jury verdict supported our claim against the doctor who was found guilty of medical malpractice and a medical standard of…
I had a very positive experience with this firm. Rick Shapiro called me right away to introduce himself and brought me up to speed on the case. He did a great job and kept me very informed along the way. Rick’s paralegal was very polite and efficient and responded immediately to every single email. They…
